I’m on medication (for example for my asthma/blood pressure/ depression) should I come off it before starting homeopathic treatment?
No. Your body is used to having this medication. Gradually as your body’s natural immunity and healing powers are stimulated to work again by the remedy/ies you will find you will naturally require less of your medication (for example the use of inhalers for asthma) and you may even forget to take it as your body realises it can function on its own. Then, in conjunction with your Doctor, as the prescriber, you can reduce your medication until you no longer require it.
There are some instances where you will have to stay on your medication and it just means that your homeopathic treatment will take longer to have an effect. You will get there, just be patient.
Have you ever treated, for example, IBS?
As homeopathy treats the person, not a diagnosed state, homeopathy can treat virtually anything. (There are exceptions e.g. see question 4.) It is how each person experiences their diseased state, or disharmonious state, that is important and will start to point towards a particular remedy.
I have cancer. Can you treat me?
As a homeopath I am not allowed to treat cancer per se, however homeopathy is able to help in treating the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy by reducing the side effects; and can also help to alleviate your mental and emotional feelings to a manageable level, which in turn will enable that energy to be put towards coping with the cancer.
I have ‘flu – why have you given me a different remedy from my husband?
Your husband presented with weakness, tiredness and aching throughout his body, together with a hard, painful cough. However your symptoms were wandering pains in all your limbs, with dizziness. Your weakness was more marked and you had a feeling of constriction in your chest.
Symptoms of ‘flu are experienced very differently in each person and as we have hundreds of remedies we don’t have to limit ourselves to just a few remedies.
