An acute complaint is a disorder of rapid onset with an incubation period, which is short or long in length, and a climax.  The main criteria is that it is self-limited by rapid resolution or death.  In the case of a car accident these options are true depending upon the severity of the injuries.  Compare that example with a cold, which doesn’t have any complications, this would normally resolve within a week.

A chronic complaint is one which is over a prolonged period of time.  For example hayfever is a chronic complaint, returning every year.  Blood pressure which doesn’t right itself after a very few months, and say was brought on by stress and the stress has passed, is another example.  Gout, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis are other examples of chronic complaints.

Both Homeopathy and Reiki are very good for dealing with acute complaints.  With Reiki I was able to treat someone’s injured wrist after a fight.  When he left the treatment room he couldn’t believe that he was leaving without the discomfort and pain he was experiencing when he came in.

Homeopathy is excellent for acutes such as a really bruised foot, where the person has walked into a chair leg with bare feet.  There is a particular homeopathic remedy that is recommended for bruising.
