Reiki and its effects upon you

Reiki, like homeopathy, is another form of energetic therapy. With each treatment and attunement your neural pathways are cleared and reconfigured, as are your auric layers. Over time you have been upgraded.

Now think of your computer, if you don’t upgrade it after a certain period of time, or increase the amount of memory it can hold on its hard disk then it becomes slow and even sluggish. So you upgrade your computer either by buying a new one, putting some more memory into it or putting a new version of software into it so that it works more efficiently.

If your body has been upgraded through Reiki, then if you don’t upgrade your computer, which is an outward manifestation of you, with its memory, then it will lose its ability to function.

After quite a number of personal upgrades through Reiki treatments and attunements, over a period of years, my personal computer stopped working overnight last year. It was beyond repair and I had to purchase a new computer with a larger memory and more up to date systems.

Reiki is a very profound energetic therapy.

Changing patterns in our lives

Events can happen in our lives:

such as seeing an accident and you are left with a constant fear of accidents
being raped and you feel and think “I’m dirty.”
told off when you don’t think it’s your fault and you think “That’s not fair.”
someone very dear to you dying and the ensuing grief, which could also have the emotion of sadness or anger associated with it
your parents are arguing and you think “It’s my fault.”

It’s those unwanted thought patterns that stay with you so whenever a similar situation arises your subconscious goes back to that past time and the thought that entered in your head in a milli-second returns, that homeopathy and Reiki are very successful in changing.

Homeopathy helps through the dialogue that occurs between the homeopath and the client with the addition of an energetic homeopathic remedy. With Reiki the energy that is brought in to the client is utilised by the body on a mental, emotional and physical level, just like homeopathy. Slowly but surely the brain re-wires and those old negative thought processes are replaced with positive thoughts.

Asthma

During my 16 years of being a Homeopath I have had clients coming to me with a diagnosis of asthma from their GP and an audit shows that clients coming with this diagnosis experience considerable improvement, even to the point of being able to reduce their medication and eventually come off it completely, with the assistance of their GP.

This is not a condition that you should self-treat. Seek the help of a qualified Homeopath and stay on your medication until both you and your GP can see that your body is starting to, and continues to cope on its own having been stimulated by a homeopathic remedy/homeopathic remedies.

The length of time taken to improve depends on how long you’ve had the symptoms. Please don’t expect a quick fix. Your body has to heal itself.

Homeopathy: The Evidence

Randomised controlled trials

•    By the end of 2009, 142 RCTs comparing homeopathy with placebo or conventional treatment had been published in peer-reviewed journals. In terms of statistically significant results, 74 of these trials were able to draw firm conclusions: 63 were positive for homeopathy and eleven were negative.1

•    Three double blind clinical trials of diarrhoea in 242 children ages 6 months to 5 years were analyzed as one group.2 The results of this meta-analysis showed a highly significant result (P=0.008) confirming that individualised homeopathic treatment decreases the duration of acute childhood diarrhoea.This research was placebo-controlled, randomised, had a clear outcome measure, was repeated three times and the results subjected to meta-analysis. These conditions exclude the possibility that the results were due to placebo, bias or poor research design.
Homeopathy in practice

•    A service evaluation at the Bristol Homeopathic Hospital recorded the outcome of homeopathic treatment in over 6,500 consecutive patients. In this study, carried out over a six-year period, 70% of patients reported an improvement in their health.3

The best clinical results were seen in the treatment of children with eczema and asthma, and adults with inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, menopausal problems and migraine. Other conditions which improved after homeopathic treatment included arthritis, depression and chronic fatigue syndrome.

•    A German study involving 493 patients seen in general practice found that treatment by a homeopath gave better outcomes than conventional treatment for similar costs.4

This study was commissioned by a German health insurance company to see whether they should continue to cover homeopathic treatment. The outcomes and costs of homeopathic and conventional treatment were compared in patients being treated for chronic conditions including headache, low back pain, depression, insomnia and sinusitis in adults, and atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis and asthma in children.

In the laboratory

•    75% of in vitro experiments have found that substances as dilute as homeopathic medicines have specific effects.5 For example, homeopathically-prepared Thyroxine can slow down metamorphosis of tadpoles into frogs.6 These results were replicated by five separate laboratories in Austria and confirmed by the results of similar experiments carried out by an independent team in Brazil.7 The homeopathic thyroxine used was a 10-30 dilution i.e. a dilution at which you would no longer expect any molecules to be present.

•    Experimental results from different independent laboratories have confirmed that there are physical differences between homeopathically prepared samples and control samples (such as plain water or other solvents). These differences have been measured using scientific techniques such as: calorimetry,8 spectroscopy,9,10 and thermoluminescence.11

•    In 2009 Nobel prize winner Professor Luc Montagnier (known for co-discovering HIV) published the results of a series of rigorous experiments in which he found that samples of disease-causing bacteria and fragments of DNA prepared in a similar way to homeopathic medicines gave off specific electromagnetic signals at extremely high dilutions (e.g. dilution of 10-12 , equivalent to the homeopathic medicine strength ‘6c’).12

Pregnancy & Birth

You are advised in pregnancy to stay away from medication/drugs. However, over millennia Homeopaths have prescribed homeopathic remedies for pregnant women without side effects. One of the reasons why the remedies are not toxic is because of the number of dilutions that occur during the process of making each potency.

An audit of my practice over 16 years shows that clients who have experienced unwelcome symptoms during pregnancy have sought treatment from myself. Such symptoms as nausea in the morning on waking and on rising; nausea after drinking; nausea after breakfast, and vomiting have been alleviated.

From the audit I have also seen that some mothers have sought treatment for deep anxieties and sometimes fears associated with being pregnant and the birthing process.

Attention Deficit Disorder & Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Has your child or have you been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder?

Then you will be aware of the symptoms:

There is an alternative to taking conventional medicine and that is to address the symptoms through homeopathy.

An audit of my practice shows that clients coming with a diagnosis from their GP of ADD or ADHD have sought treatment from myself over the lifetime of my 16 year practice.

The audit of the follow up appointments demonstrates that homeopathic remedies are efficient at reducing the above-mentioned symptoms to a manageable level.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

In our everyday lives we sometimes experience an incident (or incidents) that are totally overwhelming such as seeing a multiple pile-up on the motorway; seeing a person shot or run over within a short range of oneself; experiencing abuse oneself.

The traumatic experience puts us in a situation where we perceive that we are in danger, our life is threatened, or that others are dying or being injured.

Chronic PTSD is where someone has repeatedly experienced such things as severe neglect or abuse as a child or adult, or severe repeated violence – seeing or experiencing.

Some people are able to get over these experiences, but others are unable to and the experience results in symptoms that could be diagnosed as PTSD. Some of the symptoms could be:
Flashbacks and nightmares
Avoidance of talking of the experience and numbing of the emotions
Remaining in the ‘flight and fright’ state where you are constantly on the alert for danger.

Some physicals are:
Muscle aches and pains
Headaches
Diarrhoea
Depression

Have you been given a diagnosis of PTSD? Then do consider contacting a homeopath. Overall my clients find the case-taking process very therapeutic and together with the giving of a homeopathic remedy, suited to their particular state, their symptoms can become more manageable.

As with any complaint the longer you have had symptoms the longer it will take for a change to take place. Once the human organism has been stimulated by the remedy, and the case-taking process, then the process of improvement will commence working at the pace that your body dictates. So don’t expect a quick-fix but a gentle unravelling.

I use the word treat and treatment within my website and I would wish to clarify their meaning by referring to Chambers English Dictionary.

Definition of the verb “to treat” is: To deal with; to handle; to discuss; to behave towards; to act upon; to deal with the case of; to deal with (disease) by applying remedies; to subject to a process.

Treatment is: the act or manner of treating; management; behaviour to anyone; way of applying remedies.

Infertility & Miscarriage

Do you consider you are infertile, or have you had a miscarriage?

If you are having trouble conceiving, or have miscarried then a visit to your local Homeopath could be a consideration.

Obviously with regard to conceiving do have tests, via your GP, to ensure that you physically have all the necessary internal organs and that they are connected and no blockages are in place. Your menstrual cycle may vary in periodicity and thus your fertile time may vary.

During my time as a Registered Homeopath I have had clients consult me with these conditions and as regards miscarriages, the time of miscarriage is taken into account; the number of miscarriages is taken into account, and many other facts.

Homeopathy has many remedies it can call upon to prescribe to stimulate the body to be in a healthy state to menstruate, to conceive, and to maintain a pregnancy.

Homeopathy does not involve any physical examinations with regard to these particular symptoms, but an in-depth consultation takes place, after which a remedy will be prescribed.

An audit of my practice showed clients who consulted me regarding infertility have conceived within a few months of receiving the appropriate homeopathic remedy, and that those that have miscarried continue to go on to conceive and maintain a healthy pregnancy to term.
